Ebola is a very serious and deadly disease. The first human outbreak was in 1976 in Central Africa. Ebola is very infectious but not at all very contagious.
It is so infectious because you only need a small amount to be infected for it to be serious. Humans can get it from other humans if they come into contact with another person's bodily fluids. Ebola is most common in the countries in Africa.
There have been many outbreaks in 2014 here are a few:
Nigeria- 20 cases, 8 deaths
Liberia- 4076 cases, 2316 deaths
Spain- 1 case, 0 deaths
United States- 1 case, 1 death
